Remote pipe positioning on the drill floor
The manipulator is designed to replace manual pipe movement in high-risk drill-floor areas. It can support picking up and laying down drill pipe, positioning tubulars at the well center or mousehole, and moving stands within its operating envelope.
Programmable positioning
Sensors and the control system support monitored movement, stored positions and programmed transfer between defined locations. The machine can also be integrated with the wider rig control architecture.
